Like other tissues of the body, the skin can become congested (e.g., dry without sweat, itching, oily), inflamed (e.g., redness, irritation, burning), or depleted (e.g., from nutritional deficiencies, dehydration, or low healthy fat levels). The overall health of an individual is often reflected in the skin, which can show signs of liver burden, nutritional imbalances, inflammation, hormonal fluctuations, and even poor-quality sleep.

In traditional systems of health, such as Ayurveda, the appearance and function of the skin are seen as indicators of deeper internal states. Therefore, supporting skin health requires identifying and addressing the underlying causes, whether they stem from inflammatory tendencies, dietary factors, hormonal shifts, or other systemic imbalances.

Through a combination of individualized dietary guidance, internal and topical herbal support, and lifestyle adjustments, many people have experienced significant improvement in their skin clarity and comfort—especially in long-standing imbalances such as dryness, redness, or chronic irritation.  Skin Treatment Details

Understanding & diagnosing your muscles, Mamas Dhatu, according to Ayurveda

Mamsa Dhatu: Muscles The term “mamsa dhatu” literally means “flesh” or “meat,” in Ayurveda it refers to the muscles of the body. Mamsa dhatu is more than muscle; it is the provider of strength, courage, and self-confidence. When healthy, our muscles work in a modest fashion to express the needs and desires of the ego, while also available to express the creative inspiration. In other words, our flesh (body) is the part that identifies with the ego according to ayurveda.
