The cold, dry and windy period of winter, according to Ayurveda, is considered the Vata season, which will aggravate vata health conditions. The period from the end of winter and most of spring is considered the Kapha season according to Ayurveda. By early February southern California is in Kapha season, thus, the timing of this workshop.
Due to the damp, cold and heavy qualities of the Kapha season we accumulate toxins, the systems in the body clog and our our immunity becomes lower. This is why Spring brings many related health conditions such as allergies, colds, nasal drip, coughs and digestive allergies. According to Ayurveda, by following the recommendations provided in this workshops you should be able to avoid these common Spring health conditions.
The approach as we enter the Kapha season needs to be both purifying and rejuvenating for most individuals, with Kapha dominant individuals focusing on cleansing and detoxification.
For a additional $20 donation a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION for a 2 hours course in Ayurveda can be provided. Khabir is a [Registered] Professional Ayurvedic Continuing Education (PACE) Provider.
